What makes a classical Christian education "Christian"?
According to Wikipedia, the roots of the classical tradition in the West can be traced to the early Middle Ages, when elements of education from ancient Greece and Rome were combined with biblical teaching for the training of Christian students. Because of this history, even secular classical schools usually contain Christian elements. However, for any education to be truly Christian, it must not only include Christian elements or allusions. It must make the Word of God central in the learning, and the goal of education must align with biblical teaching, as we talked about when looking at what Ephesians 6:4 means for Christian parents.
